The IO Foundation is seeking passionate individuals to join our team as Associate Members. In this role, you will represent our organization at various events and activities worldwide, showcasing our commitment to the Data-Centric Digital Rights advocacy and advancing technology that protects users by design. This is an excellent opportunity for tech enthusiasts, researchers, policy makers and just about anyone wanting to create tangible impact in technology.

Responsibilities

• Represent The IO Foundation at designated events, conferences and activities

• Engage with attendees, stakeholders and other organizations to promote our mission and initiatives

• Provide feedback and insights from events to help shape future strategies and programs

• Collaborate with other Associate Members to coordinate activities

• Participate in regular meetings and training sessions to stay informed about The IO Foundation’s goals and projects

• Promote The IO Foundation’s activities on social media and within your professional network

Qualifications | Requirements

• Strong interest in technology and its applications for social impact

• Excellent communication and public speaking skills

• Ability to represent The IO Foundation in a professional manner at events

• Previous experience in volunteer work, event management or public relations is a plus

• Must be available to attend events and activities as agreed

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with different stakeholders

• Knowledge and understanding of the tech industry and of the non-profit/NGO sector

• Passion for and commitment to The IO Foundation's mission and values

Qualifications | Languages

• English fluent both oral and written

• Fluent level of official language of country of residence

• Other languages will be a plus, in particular Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, French and Spanish

Other considerations

• Able to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment

• Willingness to travel locally and internationally, if agreed

• Passport-ready
