Job description
The IO Foundation is seeking dedicated volunteers (both in the Klang Valley, Malaysia and worldwide) to join our team as Admin Assistants. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our internal operations, helping us drive our mission forward. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in a nonprofit environment while contributing to meaningful projects in the tech sector.
IMPORTANT: This opening is not a paid position. In accordance with Estonian Law and The IO Foundation's policies, volunteers can not be remunerated.
Responsibilities
Depending on your preferred Focus Areas, the responsibilities may range from
Manage scheduling for team meetings and appointments
Support the organization in organizing and running its activities
Enhance and maintain data accuracy within internal systems
Conduct research for projects and initiatives as assigned
Assist with paperwork and ensure compliance with organizational standards
Analyze data and create reports to support decision-making
Document procedures and protocols for internal use
Provide support to TIOF staff as needed
Undertake additional tasks as assigned to support organizational goals
Qualifications | Requirements
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in both in-person and remote environments
At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred, along with proficiency in common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
Attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to deliverables
Basic understanding of data analytics and experience with social media platforms are both a plus, but not required
Passion for and commitment to The IO Foundation's mission and values
Previous experience in nonprofit or volunteer work is a plus but not required
Qualifications | Languages
English fluent both oral and written
Other languages will be a plus, in particular Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, French and Spanish
Other considerations
Able to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to travel locally and internationally, if needed.
